Name Variation(Her name is recorded as "Eliza" in the 1881 Census). She was known to Vera Johnson as Lizzie.1,2 
Birth*circa 1868, Bognor, England, , (DOB estimated from census data). There is a question about the exact place of birth in Sussex recorded in the census. "Larking" ? 1871, "Cocking" 1881, "Bognor" 1891).3 
Residence*Elizabeth is said to have been born in Bognor. She moved north with the family eventually to South Shields. But by 1891 she was living with her married sister in law Eliza Jane at Birtley. (Were mum & Dad dead by then?)4 
Note - Geographical*A note on the birthplace of birthplace of both Elizabeth & William Foster. The most like likely place is Cocking, which is a small village in the South Downs about three miles south of Midhurst in the county of West Sussex. Roughly 8 miles further south over Cocking Down, beneath which the village nestles, lies the cathedral city and county town of Chichester. Along the ridge of that hill and its neighbours, the South Downs Way runs from Eastbourne in East Sussex to Winchester in Hampshire.

By 1870 he is in Bradford for the birth of Thomas. He is at Ferry Hill, Co. Durham at the time of the 1871 Census, though Georgina's birthplace is given as Coxhoe. By 1975 for the birth of Frances he is in South Shields where he appears to have lived until his death.
