- Mother*: Jane Southren b. May 1732, d. 6 Aug 1810
- Relationship: 4th great-uncle of The Rev Robert Stoker Wilson.
- William Coxon was born August 1761 at Edlingham, England, , (DOB estimated from Date Baptism).1

- William Coxon married Ann Allan 26 May 1795 at Coldstream Bridge Toll House, Coldstream, England, . Research Note: There is a difference between researchers as to William's wife, Ann's identity. Bob Green's researches say she is Ann Allan. Adrienne Walkers researches say she is Ann Hedley, born c 1770 at Warkworth. I believe that Ann is correctly identified as Ann Allan for the following reasons:
1) The 1795 marriage record for William and Ann at Coldstream fit in with the possible death of Margaret Coxon (nee Hair) during or soon after the birth of William in 1794.
2) From the Coldstream registers William and Ann both come from Eglingham parish, within which is the hamlet of Brandon.
2) A marriage to Ann Hedley would have meant the later marrying at about 15yrs age.
3) The marriage date of 1791 with Ann Hedley is quite out of sync with Williams marriage to Margaret Hair.5,6 - William Coxon died May 1845 at Overgrass, Felton, England, .7
- He was buried on 5 May 1845 at Whittingham, England, .8,9

- William Coxon died before 7 June 1841. (He appears to be dead by the 1841 census).5

- Researcher's Note: The identification of Williams ancestors, and his place within the family tree is still a mater of speculation. However there is an IGI record for a William Coxon, of "Branton, Durham, Northumberland" !! This has to be the Branton near Powburn. It is dated about 1775. No parents given. We know that there were Coxons worshipping in the area at this time. In 1802 at he time of his daugter Jane's death he was a Blacksmith at Glanton).7
